September 11th, 2001 is forever etched in every American’s mind and heart. Whether you were directly affected, or just watched in horror as it all unfolded on the news, its anniversary each year not only resurfaces those feelings of anger and disbelief but also, of unity and American pride. Six weeks after the attack, The House of Representatives decided to officially recognize the date as dedication to those lives that were taken. Patriot Day, which started out as Prayer and Remembrance for the Victims of the Terrorist Attacks, is not technically a National Holiday. But there is a common phrase used to observe this day: Never Forget. And we never will.
