FAQ: How Does the BlueMaster® Protect DEF from Contamination?

Learn how the BlueMaster® DEF mini bulk storage tank protects from DEF contamination

A frequently asked question we receive about the Kingspan BlueMaster® DEF island friendly mini bulk storage tank is how does it protect DEF from contamination? This is a great question and we are happy to help answer it in this short video and blog.

Each BlueMaster® DEF island friendly mini bulk storage tank has a closed fluid path, which starts with a 2″ Parker Hannifin dry break connection. When filling the tank with DEF, the dry break connection prevents any possible spillage into the cabinet and equipment area. This fill point is then connected to the inner tank via a stainless steel fill line. In addition to the fill line being made of stainless steel, this is also the case for ALL BlueMaster® components that come in contact with the DEF to further avoid contamination. When it comes to dispensing, the BlueMaster® provides a stainless steel  suction line, which runs from the submersible pump inside the tank, to the end of the suction line where it meets the FMT 3 flow meter.
